When Alfa Romeo introduced its Guilietta in 1954, it entered the world of ‘Small Cars-Big Engines’ which was then dominated by British and German sports cars, and so took a position it would never let go. The Guilietta model was so well received that the high demand forced Alfa to adapt its production strategy and become a High-Volume producer.
It was design master Pininfarina who drew the sleek sports car, and based on the shortened chassis of the sprint, the Spider's 1300cc aluminium twin cam engine and coupled with the low weight of the self-supporting body, this car provided a very lively performance. All this topped with the characteristic Pininfarina style, resulting in sportiness coupled with an extremely elegant appearance.
The model offered here is the 101 model, where the already reliable 1300 engine was made even more robust. The original Solex carburettor was also replaced by the Weber one, which in turn ensures better performance. All mechanics were meticulously taken care of by the current owner, and the condition of the car is as it was when it was just restored. The colour combination of white with the stylish and completely renewed black leather interior gives the car a timeless look.
The car exudes the timeless Italian flair, so get behind the wheel and imagine yourself on the sunny Italian Riviera or on the leafy shores of Lake Como. Instant summer feeling, even in your own country.
