SOLD '71 Mercedes-Benz 280SL

The infamous Mercedes-Benz SL series W113 was produced between 1963 and 1971. Due its unique shape of its hardtop this Mercedes was naed after a Chinese pagoda roof. The first version of this W113, the 230SL, was introduced in 1963. Later on the 20SL followed it 1966 and was built until 1968. Ultimately the, the final and most powerful version came on the market in 1967 which was the 280SL. It’s needless to say that, because of its 170 horsepower delivered on the rear axle from its 6-in-line-engine, this 280SL offers the most driving pleasure out of the three W113’s. The Pagoda is because of its quality, capacity and timeless design a must have for every collection and highly desired for the true drivers under us.

Offered here is a classy yet sporty configured 280SL from 1971, equipped with the iconic 6-in-line-engine with the at its time ahead and very reliable K Jetronic injection system. It’s needless to say that this completely overhauled example runs perfectly well. This 280SL is equipped with a 4 gear automatic gearbox that offers a perfect balance between comfort and drive sensation. Typical tot his model are the aluminium hood-, trunk- and doorpanels. This very 280SL underwant a full ‘nuts and bolts’ restoration to concourscondition;

*The engine, suspension and gearbox are fully overhauled
